Chelby's last year of elementary school starts as an average child growing up in New York. She has two loving parents, a new school, new friends, and life in her new neighborhood seems to be going well. Until one day, an accident at her mother's hair salon changes Chelby's life forever. With the fear of the unknown delaying Chelby's progress on her path, the events that soon follow will ultimately force Chelby to make some difficult choices and decisions.
