As of 2024, 37.9 million Americans are living below the poverty line. Politicians, however, have not demonstrated the same commitment to ending poverty as they have toward foreign or global matters. It is essential for voters to come together and urge our government to reform social welfare programs to eliminate poverty, or step aside for leaders who are willing to take on this challenge.
